2018 TOUR DE AGUA
We’ve added a 25-mile route this year! Enjoy!
All four routes of the Tour de Agua will start and finish in downtown Dublin, near Old Doc’s Soda Shop, beginning at 8:00AM, with a briefly staggered start. Each course will remain on pavement, primarily utilizing scenic and lightly traveled country roads. Distance, more than anything, will determine the degree of difficulty, as each course consists of rolling hills, intermittent flats, and an occasional leg-burning climb. Safety will be given highest priority with traffic control, SAG vehicles, and rest stops at strategic points. The routes finish down one of Dublin’s quaint brick roads and then you can join the festivities of the Dublin Summer Celebration beside Dublin Bottling Works and Old Doc’s Soda Shop.
All proceeds benefit Kids Across Cultures and will be used to provide clean water for children and families around the world.
Early registration fees are good through midnight 5/28. Pre-register by midnight 5/28/17 to guarantee a t-shirt.
The 25 mile, 41 mile, and 66 mile routes are $40 through 5/28. From 5/29-6/9, they are $45.
The 10 mile route for adults is $30. From 5/29-6/9, the fee is $35.
The 10 mile route for ages 13 and under is $20, and includes wristband access to the bounce houses.
Or kids ages K-6th can choose to participate in the Clean Water Kids Bike Ride, a shorter route that begins at 9am, can be ridden multiple times, and every lap earns points for prizes. Click here for more info.
Pre-registration and t-shirt guarantee ends 5/28. Online registration in general will close at midnight 6/7.
Your Tour de Agua ticket includes breakfast burritos, bike ride, and Saturday music & activities. A BBQ sandwich lunch will be available for you & your guests to purchase for $5, or you can purchase lunch at one of Dublin’s restaurants. Then stroll through the town to take in the sights and visit our five museums!
*Registration payment is non-refundable for any reason, other than cancellation of the event prior to the scheduled day of the event. Failure to participate in the event for any reason will not result in refund. Refunds will not occur should weather conditions or other “acts of nature” result in cancellation the day of the event.
Registration from now through 6/7 can be done through Online Registration. Register in person on 6/8 and 6/9. Pre-registrations received by midnight 5/28/17 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Packet pickup and on-site registration will be at Dublin Bottling Works on Friday, 6/8, 6:30p-8:00pm, along with our Kickoff Party.
Packet pickup and on-site registration will also take place on Saturday morning, 6/9, from 6:30a-7:45am.
Come to Dublin a day early to see the sights and enjoy our Kickoff Party on Friday evening, beside Old Doc’s Soda Shop, starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10 and include a catered meal, live music, and a variety of yard games on the lawn. Packet pick-up and pre-registration will also be available that evening so you can start Saturday ready and raring to go!
Providing all riders with the safest possible environment is our priority. All riders will be required to wear a helmet and follow all biking and traffic laws. Riders have the same rights and duties as those operating motor vehicles. Please remember that this is not a closed course. Ride with caution.
After the Ride
The ride ends at Celebration Park beside Old Doc’s Soda Shop, with live music, family yard games, a big sandpile, and bounce houses. Snacks, fruit, bottled water, sports drink, and all the Dublin Bottling Works Soda you can drink will be available for riders. Join the festivities of the Dublin Summer Celebration. Buy a BBQ brisket sandwich lunch near the finish line, or get lunch and fountain floats at Old Doc’s. Award ceremonies will be held as each group of finishers comes in. A guarded bike corral is provided.
The coveted Tour de Agua bottle cap awards and Dublin Bottling Works Soda will be given to the top three men and women finishers on the 25 mile, 41 mile, & 66 mile courses. The top three finishers under 16 for the 9 mile course will also be given bottle cap awards.
- 1st Place: (25mi, 41mi, & 66mi) Commemorative Tour de Agua bottle cap plus one case of DBW soda
- 2nd Place: (25mi, 41mi, & 66mi) Commemorative Tour de Agua bottle cap plus one case of DBW soda
- 3rd Place: (25mi, 41mi, & 66mi) Commemorative Tour de Agua bottle cap plus two 6-packs of DBW soda
In addition, the top placing individual in each of the 25 mile, 41 mile, and 66 mile courses will receive an on-site catered brisket lunch for six people.
